¹⁸ ·Really [For] you have had five husbands, and the man you ·live with [^Lhave] now is not your husband. You told the truth.”

¹⁹ The woman said to him, “Sir, I can see that you are a prophet. ²⁰ Our ·ancestors [forefathers; ^Lfathers] worshiped on this mountain [^Cthe Samaritans worshiped on Mount Gerizim near Shechem], but you [^Cplural, referring to the Jews] say that Jerusalem [^CMount Zion, the location of the temple] is the place where people must worship.”
